I already posted some impressions of the Faile and Bast collaboration exhibition by Ian Cox at Lazarides Gallery. Today I have some moving pictures from the show for you! Babelgum visited the making of “Deluxx Fluxx Arcade 2010” and filmed Faile and Bast while their preparations. The huge count of posters pasted on the walls combined with black light and luminous colors looks phenomenal and also the special designed game machines are really phantastic! The flagship-gallery for street art in Berlin is the ATM Gallery by my friend Marc Scherer. Although or even because of it’s only a small exhibition-room, the gallery shows continuously the local and international creme de la creme of urban art and culture. At the end of this month, ATM will travel with a lot of great stencil artworks, photographs and paintings by Just, Emess, Eliot, Artiste Ouvrier, Dave the Chimp, Leon Raid and Prost to Vienna for the “Rock me ATM!” exhibition at Inoperable. ...

Yesterday, I visited the Pisa73 and Czarnobyl stencil art exhibition in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Although the shown artworks were really nice, they unfortunately were the same I already know from the “Aerosol Fumes” stencil art group exhibition… Nevertheless I took some shots, because Pisa73 and Czarnobyl are two of the most famous Berlin-based stencil artist and their artworks are well-known in Europe and overseas. Most notably is the great location. It’s called the “Nest” and it’s above a little nice café. It’s the same interesting location were the Streetfiles urban art photo show took place in November 2009. ...

Some hours ago I wrote that article about the Australian graffiti artist The Yok and now I will write a small post about the upcoming stencil art show by Ben Howe in Hamburg. Yes, you are right, Ben Howe is also an Australian urban artist… The upcoming show is called “Schism Overwrite” and will present his most current stencil artworks and I heard, that he will make some live action - maybe a live painting! ...
Alex Diamond has a crazy style. The comic-influenced drawings and paintings are floating around in Europe for some years. In 2009, he was part of the urban art project Artotale in Lueneburg and is in Barcelona for his current exhibition, called Demon Circus, right now. For about 2 hours, I aligned myself with almost 150 other people at the Kino International yesterday, to get tickets for Banksy’s “Exit Through The Gift Shop” street art movie - And now I’m a proud owner of two tickets for the film! “Exit Through The Gift Shop” is a documentation film, which contains exclusive footage of Banksy, and many of the world’s most infamous graffiti artists, including Shepard Fairey, Mr. Brainwash or Sweet Toof, at work. ...

The self-proclaimed working class hero and urban artist Skore183 will exhibit new works about “Subversive”. “Skore183 grew up in a working-class family in Munich. Already at quite an early age he discovered art as a way of expressing his very own thoughts, ideas and concerns. Since the late 1990s Skore183 has been using the streets and walls of his surroundings as his canvasses. Yesterday I visited the opening of the 44flavours art show at the 72h Gallery in Berlin. It was a good exhibition in a nice show-room, but although there were some really interesting repainted silk-screen prints, I somehow missed a certain touch… In addition, I think that the 44flavour guys should have had a bit more time to give their artworks the lacking something! Nevertheless the 72h concept seems to bear fruits - The exhibition was well-frequented and there were artworks sold already at the beginning. ...
Two days ago, I informed you about the interesting concept of the new 72h Gallery in Berlin and the upcoming show by creative crew 44flavours today. Now there are two new videos out, which give some insights into the preparations for that urban art exhibition, which is called 72hours vs. 44flavours. 44flavours is a Berlin-based urban art duo.
