Collection in 10 parts · Street art in the Middle East, 2009–2012

From Tehran to Tel Aviv

A1one in Tehran, Arabic calligraphy and graffiti, Israel’s scene, JR in Abu Dhabi and the murals of Cairo: the archive’s posts from the Middle East, read together.

The site had no single place for the Middle East, and the region is an idea rather than a place on a map. These posts gather what it reported from Iran, Israel, the Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt, and the books that brought Arabic script into graffiti.
