# Dave the Chimp - DIY Skate & Paint Device

After that nice [*Spray Paint Skateboard Interface* by **D*Face**](/dface-spray-paint-skateboard/) became popular (just check e.g. [hypebeast](http://hypebeast.com/2011/07/dface-pool-paint-attack/), [ukstreetart](http://www.ukstreetart.co.uk/2011/07/video-dface-ridiculous-pool-paint-attack/), [urbanshit](http://urbanshit.de/?p=5584) or [welikethat](http://www.welikethat.de/2011/07/07/skateboard-pool-painting/)) well-known, Berlin-based urban artist **Dave the Chimp** created his own *DIY Skate & Paint Device* and sent in that way some beef over to LA...

> You don't need money, famous friends, and months of research and development to create something - you just need to think and to play. So switch off your computer, switch on your brain, and go create something fantastic yourself - you'll be amazed at what you can achieve!!! (Dave the Chimp)

All you need to create your own skate and paint device is of course a board, some gaffer tape, a string, some time and creativity as well as love. When you finished, take a photo and send it over - I will feature every self-made spray paint skateboard!
