Tetris Hack: Amazing 90 Meters Tetris Game!

The MIT’s Green Building recently hosted the world’s largest Tetris game! The 90 meters tall academic and research building was designed by noted architect I. M. Pei, whose window facade suited perfectly for a 17x9 pixel Tetris screen… Tetris on the MIT Green Building As The Tech pointed out in a corresponding article, the mysteriously appearing Tetris hack, which was described as The holy grail of hacks was the culmination of over four and a half years of work by an undisclosed number of hackers! The group of hackers used the already installed LED arrays to light up the windows with a variety of colors for the super-sized video game, allowing not just students to play a fully functional game of Tetris on the Green Building! ...

Subway Parasite: Stealth Light Projector

This subway parasite project is quite old, it was invented by Frédéric Eyl at the University of the Arts in Berlin back in 2005 (long before about 2,200 people liked Urban Art Core on Facebook), but it’s that great that I have to share it with you… Parasite is an independant projection-system that can be attached to subways and other trains with suction pads. Parasite projects ﬁlms inside a tunnel. These tunnels bear something mystic – most people usually have never made a step inside any of those tunnels. The Art of Hacking

Somehow corresponding to the war on Mexico declaration by loosely linked hacking group Anonymous I have some interesting news for everyone being interested in hacking… Due to the amazing success, the Netherlands Media Art Institute extended its The Art of Hacking exhibition, which focuses on the artistic side of hacking, until November 26th, showing works by Heath Bunting, The Yes Men, Übermorgen.com and others. As it is written in the press-release, the artists in this exhibition highlight the imperfections of our surroundings and daily lives. The projects subvert, improve on or circumnavigate official systems and practices and offer alternatives. Superficially, hacking is often associated with spreading online viruses and other digital attacks. Officially these criminal activities are not really known as hacking, but as cracking. The real practice of hacking is done based on far more positive and artistic motives. It’s a state of mind and there are elaborate ethical codes within the hacker community. ...

The gaming-pixel-look of his artworks is apparently well-known worldwide. Only I have somehow never heard of it before. The interesting point of this style is, that it’s almost unique.
