One of the top urban art photographers Ian Cox published some photos of the “Deluxx Fluxx Arcade 2010” exhibition by Faile and Bast at Lazarides Gallery Greek Street.
“The two floors of Lazarides Greek Street will be taken over for a truly experiential exhibition. Faile and Bast’s signature elements will resound throughout the gallery, creating an explosive installation. You’ll be able to interact with the products of their artistic collaboration…” (press release)
For years, the Faile collective is present with their stencil artworks, posters and prints, on the streets of cities around the world. Although they exhibited about 40 times in eleven nations in the last six years, their street artworks were removed by specialist for dozens of times, like in Berlin in 2008.
New York-based urban artist Bast is also famous for his print and collages. He is a long-time collaborator of Faile and of course for that reason their exhibition partner.
After watching the slideshow of Ian’s photos, I’m a little bit unhappy, that I’m not able to visit that great-looking show…
