Bringing together triumph and tragedy (that’s the title of the show), the Los Angeles based urban artist seems to present artworks based on found objects taken from the ruins of Detroit…
As the found materials, also Revok’s history represents triumph and tragedy at the same time. Having one of his major successes by being part of this year’s Art in the Streets exhibit at LA’s Museum of Contemporary Art, he was sentenced to 180 days in jail by a judge a short while after the opening. For that reason, I think Revok’s Hamburg exhibition will include some highly personal artworks showing a mixture of great success but also downfall.
