Nychos The Weird in London
One of my favorite urban art mags meets one of my favorite graffiti artists: Very Nearly Almost caught up with Austrian graffiti legend Nychos The Weird in London in late July 2012 with João Retorta and Luke Atkinson filming him doing his best… painting, painting, painting.
Nychos passed through London last month and even with loads of rain, overzealous council workers buffing a piece on a private wall (within hours of it being finished) and several days dealing with a mysterious illness, he managed to paint some amazing murals. (VNA)

When it comes to graffiti in Berlin, the 1UP crew reigns supreme. This prolific group from Kreuzberg has not only made their mark across the city with their daring rooftop rollers and train bombings, but they’ve also taken their art global.
In addition to releasing their own documentary, “1UP Graffiti – One United Power”, showcasing their work in Berlin and around the world, the crew has also established a strong online presence with their dedicated YouTube channel, “1UP Graffiti TV.”

Graffiti Bomb in Israel
I feel certain, that some people will laugh at the colorful result of this bomb squad operation and others will shake their heads in disbelief because of this youngsters boldness.
What I’m talking about is this video, showing some dudes leaving alone a bag at a bus-stop somewhere in Israel. What follows is probably a common procedure in a country where bomb attacks unfortunately are part of the daily routine: Of course people get terrified and call the police to verify the bomb-to-be. A bomb squad finally burst the bag full of spray-cans what then results in a massive paint explosion…

Racists Against Os Gemeos Mural
Famous graffiti artists Os Gemeos who recently opened their first US solo exhibition at the Institute for Contemporary Art (ICA) in Boston, are now part of a racism debate, started on Fox 25’s Facebook thread…
Their previously painted, brilliant The Giant of Boston mural on the old ventilation building in Dewey Square has been reeling in racially-charged remarks from people who have viewed the public artwork, as Steve Annear documented for the Bostinno:

Os Gemeos Street Piece in Boston
Os Gemeos is currently in Boston at the Institute for Contemporary Art (ICA) for their first US solo exhibition, painting murals and beautifying the city with street pieces!
As usual, I’m more than flashed by the twins’ painting skill and their famous Pixacao motive is one of my personal favorites. Bostonians can be happy, having these two graffiti artists in town!
Make sure to watch that video interview with Os Gemeos for some private insights into their history, but first enjoy that great new Os Gemeos street piece…

Os Gemeos Mural Boston
This August the Institute for Contemporary Art (ICA) in Boston is going to present the first US solo exhibition by the Brazilian brothers Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo, better known as Os Gemeos! But before they will open the exhibition doors tomorrow, the Os Gemeos twins are painting outside at both The Revere Hotel and on the ventilation building in Dewey Square…
Best known as Os Gêmeos, the twins are a major force in graffiti and urban art. The twins have a deep bond; they are tireless collaborators and say that they often experience the same dreams. In an effort to share their dreams with the world, they depict their visions in surreal paintings, sculpture, and installations: human figures with removable faces, exploding bursts of color, and room-size heads installed with shanty interiors. Billboard Bandits - Outlaw Artists in the Sky is the title of an upcoming billboard graffiti book, currently fund raising money at Kickstarter…

Train Graffiti, My Dirty Hobby
Imagine a guy setting up his camera and starting to paint a German train. And now, imagine two cleaners coming round a corner, bumping directly into the poorly covert writer! The resulting hit and run is pretty to watch if you’re a fan of schadenfreude like me…
As was written on Ektopia, this is “the best little graffiti video, from start to finish, that I’ve seen for a while.” Watch the entire train graffiti story, including a brilliant finish, and let us thank this one minute hero, who had the class to publish this video!
