Abstract Graffiti: Graphic Surgery & Nawer in Krakow
Wow, this new abstract graffiti wall and installation I just stumbled upon on Graffuturism (one of my new favorite blogs by the way!) is nothing but mind-blowing! Graphic Surgery and Nawer, two stars of the international abstract graffiti art scene, recently got together to paint that mixture of 2D and 3D lines at the Bang Bang Kindergarten in Krakow…
This pretty collaboration is not just great because of the intense, fluorescent neon color and the resulting huge contrast, but - and that’s really dope - because of the nice combination of a flat wall and a 3D swing! I would have been great to visit such a cool kindergarten as a kid! Here are some flicks by Nawer:

Australian Urban Artists: Meggs, Lister & Kid Zoom
A few weeks ago the VNA crew teamed up with itdrewitself (you know, the dudes who recently visited Ron English in his studio!) to present three Australian urban artists painting in a derelict warehouse and chatting about their work…
Being linked by being not just Australians and also renowned artists but by independently visiting the UK in June, Meggs, Anthony Lister and Kid Zoom painted a face in their unique styles and created in that way a nice collaboration-wall in London.

Fuck You Graffiti Art!
Magnus Gustafsson aka Nug is a Swedish graffiti artist and has been called one of the worst graffiti vandals in Sweden. His latest project (the concept is fuck you, yes you) for the Fame Festival 2011 in Italy, which recently became famous being mentioned on vandalog.com, doobybrain.com, theworldsbestever.com, crackajack.de, juxtapoz.com, electru.de and rebelart.net (just to name a few), explains why…
Together with some dressed in black friends (a few trained vandals, the others just good guys and girls), Nug hit different spots in the old city of Grottaglie and totally fucked up the walls with black spray-paint!

The Graffiti Mobile
This fantastic Graffiti Mobile is a dream for every graffiti enthusiast, old or young, talented or not. Famous Australian Everfresh crew (Yes, that are the boys with the biggest marker worldwide!) had the idea to create this fully furnished van, including everything you need for having some good fun in a city.
The load contains in addition to a shelf full of cans and caps, paint bucks, rollers, KRink fire-extinguishers, a crowbar, a side cutter and also a mask, a keg of beer and (as a special gimmick) a old-school boombox, what makes it possible to hit the streets totally independent for some days!

D*Face Spray Paint Skateboard
D*Face is skateboarding addicted - We knew that not just since he transformed the Ridiculous Pool into a skull-hell back in 2009! But know there’s no open question left…
The famous urban artist recently went back to Peter King’s backyard in LA having a new invention, the so-called DFace Spray Paint Skateboard Interface*, in his bag, which allows skateboarders to add a spray-can to their deck. This can be easily triggered using a wireless clicker, what makes it possible to skate and paint the floor concurrent.

DTagno - Train Graffiti Installation
Graffiti artists upgrade their tools: Berlin-based graffiti and intervention artist DTagno just came up with a crazy train graffiti installation, what he calls Morphogenetic Field Device…
The device consists of a solid metal frame and several spray-cans, which can be triggered all together at the same time via a single metal bar. Although the recently published video documentary is a bit long-winded, it demonstrates the workings of this unique graffiti tool quite well.

DIY Recycle Spray-Can
Narcelio Grud from Brasil came up with one of those amazing ideas, only DIY experts can hit on. He developed Splay, a simple but effective low-tech spray-can made of recycled spray-can parts and other commonly found resources like car tyres!
Low-tech systems aim to develop strategies and mechanisms, bringing solutions that replace and expand the uses of material and techniques for street actions.
I really like that idea although I can’t imagine to take some tyres with me the next time. But in times like these, when spray-cans are getting more and more expensive spray-can recycling is probably the best thing to save some cash…
Da Mental Vaporz Art Show
Back in May, I featured the graffiti art show by the infamous Da Mental Vaporz (DMV) crew from France. Now, two months later, Emile Sacre published a video documenting the preparations and the opening of exactly this show and I have to say that it just looks great!
Dran,** Bom.k**, Sowat, Brusk, Gris1, Kan, Iso, Blo and Jaw created a super exhibition including totally different styles, nice collaborations and amazing solo-artworks. In my eyes, DMV just showed again that they play in one of the highest levels in European graffiti.

Mode2 Live Mural Art - Photos
Graffiti legend and famous character-painter Mode2 did (as I mentioned before) a nice live mural art painting event at Schau Fenster Gallery in Berlin-Kreuzberg! Of course I joined this live painting event and took a few photos. Again it was impressing - not just for me but also for all the other visitors enjoying the characters becoming alive - to watch Mode adding his well-known dancing characters to such a big wall.

Roa in Mexico - Mural Art
Several weeks ago I already posted about the nice new mural artworks by urban art superstar Roa in Mexico. Back then, I didn’t know that his works were well documented on film by Filmaciones de la Ciudad, what’s really good, because we have now the chance to watch him painting…
The Belgian graffiti artist travels the world since a few months, for what reason you can find his works in Madrid, London, Paris, Berlin and other metropolises! I for one like Roa’s animal graffiti stuff, and it’s always impressing to see how some skilled artists are possible to paint those massive walls…
