His characters are funny, his street art tends to political statements and his pastel graffities and comic-style paintings are internationally known. Huskmitnavn (in English: Remember my name), alias Anton Berg, is in addition to Armsrock one of the most famous Danish street artists.
Modern Street Art from Denmark
In Europe, but also overseas, for example in Portland, New York, Montreal, Tokyo and Osaka, the Dane with the funny name, who really always wanted to be butcher, was already active.
“My main influence is graffiti. The colours, the paint and the way you can paint a very big surface in a very short time. I like the energy in graffiti and I try to use it in every thing I do by working fast and producing a lot.” (Huskmitnavn)
When he began to paint graffiti at the age of seventeen, he tried to start a public discourse with the help of his politically tinged “everyday life” art. However, not only on the streets - Also t-shirts, newspaper comics and designer furniture are on the list of artworks, he made in the last years.
Huskmitnavn is now back in Berlin, as a part of the group show “Die Welt als Bühne” (The World as Stage), starting this Saturday.
