Concrete Chair - Urban Interior
I love to have urban-inspired interior around me. That’s why you can not just find street signs and slot-machines already in my apartment, but that’s also why I would love to have this beautiful concrete chair made by Swiss architect and designer Stefan Zwicky!
Zwicky, who took Le Corbusier’s LC2 armchair and transformed it into a monolithic piece of furniture which expresses the weight and cold nature of concrete (as was mentioned by designboom.com), created in that way a must to have for every fairfaced concrete enthusiast like me.

Urban Pinhole Camera Apartment
For their experimental visual project Stenop.es, Paris-based photographers Romain Alary and Antoine Levi are just using a primitive technique: The Camera Obscura, a pinhole camera…
Two layers are merging while the landscapes takes place in the interior’s intimacy.
The idea is as simple as it is ingenious. All they have to do to create such an pinhole camera apartment is to entirely darken a room (probably using some kind of transparency) and adding a tiny pinhole to one of the windows. The result is an upside-down projection of the real world taking place everywhere inside, creating that astonishing effect of merging the outside landscape with the indoor space.

Spray-Can Chair: Mad-700
Graffiti Design | I’m pretty sure, you all can remember the fantastic “700 Wall” graffiti project by famous writer MadC. She started a year ago to create first sketches for a massive 700m² wall and finished last December!
The result of her work was not just a brilliant wall but also for instance round about 1500 empty spray-cans. Using some of these empty spray-cans as the base material she had a chair built, which is called “Mad-700” and in addition to the fat cap chair another example for successful graffiti-inspired interior design.

Fat Cap Chair - Graffiti Design
One of the first posts on Urban Artcore was about Graffiti-inspired Design, including graffiti candles, graffiti lamps and of course that amazing fat cap chair by the Swedish design duo Don’t Feed The Swedes (DFTS).
What I didn’t knew when I wrote the article was that already in 2006 industrial designer Sander van Heukelom invented the design of “The Original Fat Cap Chair”, which is, as its name suggests, a fat cap formed chair made of fiber glass with polyester and will be available this fall!

Letters Designer Bookshelf
When industrial design meets typography - Dutch artist Pieter de Leeuw, who just graduated in Industrial Design, designed a very interesting bookshelf as his thesis!
It contains out of several separate letters and tries to give the consumers maximum freedom of using it. The wooden letters in various colors can be arranged to the user’s liking and could also be used as seating.
I like those crazy interior designs! On the one hand it’s really simple, but on the other hand there’s a great concept! However, I need such a letters bookshelf for my next apartment…

Spray-Can Cocktail Shaker No joke, this stainless steel cocktail shaker that comes disguised as a graffiti-writer’s spray-can is what I ever wanted to have!
“What appears to be a paint can primed for graffiti is actually a cocktail shaker waiting to prime your pump - the cap of the shaker even has an arrow on the top, like a can of spray paint! The back of the can features a removable label full of drink recipes to try out on your amused guests.” (Via boingboing.net)
