# Jon Naar - Graffiti Photography

*Graffiti Legend* | Everyone who has something to do with graffiti or urban arts in general should have heard about Mr. **Jon Naar**. Naar is, in addition to [**Martha Cooper** and **Henry Chalfant**](/martha-cooper-henry-chalfant-about-graffiti/), one of the first photojournalists who documented graffiti and its environment in New York City!

His [legendary book *“The Faith Of Graffiti”*](http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0061961701?ie=UTF8&tag=berlinstreeta-21&linkCode=as2&camp=1638&creative=6742&creativeASIN=0061961701) was published about 35 years ago and has been re-released in an expanded edition earlier this year. For that reason there were again a lot of specials [about him and his book](http://www.woostercollective.com/2010/03/wooster_special_edition_jon_naar_print_a.html), his photographies and his opinion about the entire graffiti world...

One really interesting and nice thing I apparently missed, was that astonishing video-interview Stussy did with Jon Naar himself, in which Naar talks about his first steps in New York and how he started taking graffiti photos...quite interesting!
