Murals represent the most visible and impactful form of public art, transforming large wall surfaces into accessible galleries that serve diverse communities while beautifying urban environments. These large-scale works span the full spectrum of artistic expression, from photorealistic portraits and political commentary to abstract compositions and cultural celebrations.

Nunca, Berlin Wall Graffiti
As I already mentioned last week, some famous urban artists from all over the globe including McBess, Miss Van, Superblast, Dave the Chimp and also well-known Brazilian graffiti artist Nunca (who was part of the Tate Modern’s street art show in 2008) came together to create the temporary Berlin Wall Freedom Park by painting murals on several original wall segments from the former inner-German border. Last Thursday the opening-ceremony took place next to the Spree river, and because I arrived early, I had the chance to take some photos of and have a small chat with Nunca while spray-painting his wall! I’m a big fan of his very unique style and would love to welcome him back in town in near future… ...
