Two days ago, I was invited to visit the opening of the “Source/ Resource” group-exhibition at Wilde Gallery in Berlin. In addition to some works by contemporary artists like Antonio Santin and Awst&Walther they show new artworks by two of my favorite stencil artists, Evol and Pisa73!
As always when I take a look at their very detailed and amazing artwork, I was really flashed, but also the artworks by Mirko Mielke, who presented a photo on concrete and a photo on a found wall, were very inspiring!
“The exhibition Source/ Resource seeks to encompass a spectrum of diverse artistic practices by a group of artists working in varied media, but all of whom employ photography in their creative process, be it as source material, literal material, or the vehicle through which a piece is realized.” (press release)
The long and the short of it is, that I took some photos, so that you’re able to share my impressions…don’t forget to take a closer look on the details of Evol’s balcony shadow and remember that it’s still spray-paint!
