Uebergrund - Urbex Photography Magazine

The third issue of Sebastian Linck’s self-made urbex photography magazine Uebergrund is coming soon! After issue one (published in 2009) and issue two (published in 2011) I’m really curious to see what impressing locations Sebastian explored this time…I’ll keep you posted. Furthermore, the Uebergrund photography mag finally got an own website, presenting not just insights from the different issues, but also selected shots from the photographers portfolio, what makes it worth to check out now! Those of you, who didn’t ordered their magazine copies yet, should do so in near future for two reasons: ...

DMV Graffiti Show, Rtist Melbourne

DMV Graffiti Show, Rtist Melbourne

As I said, French fabulous graffiti crew Da Mental Vaporz (short just DMV) left their home-country with its artic weather conditions and presidential elections delirium to enjoy sunny horizons down under and started to create one of the most prolific exhibitions Melbourne has seen so far… The trailer speaks volumes - I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen such a high-quality one for a single graffiti exhibition, although Mr Doom got some pretty nice ones - and also the artworks, popping up for just a few seconds in this new review video are convincing me. ...

Rasta Dubstep Graffiti Performance

Rasta Dubstep Graffiti Performance

Projects, bringing together different arts are almost always my taste, especially when they combine spray-paint and modern technology. The official music video Who Cares by Symbiz Sound is such a project… In cooperation with students from Braunschweig University of Arts and the Institute for Comupter-graphics of TU Braunschweig, Symbiz Sound created this awesome video, combining Rasta hairstyles, exquisite dubstep sounds, live graffiti action, performance and paint with the latest digital production techniques (keyword: Virtual Video Camera). ...

Taken By A Vandal - Graffiti in 3D

Taken By A Vandal - Graffiti in 3D

3D is in and trendy, Hollywood is showing is that with almost every new movie they throw on the market and although the 3D technique is not yet as convincing as is probably could be, I really like the idea of the new Taken By A Vandal graffiti documentary, bringing graffiti action three dimensions into our living rooms! Graffiti as seen through the eyes of the artist While watching this action-loaded documentary, we’re following the happenings as seen through the eyes of the 18 graffiti artist, who filmed themselves using head camera. This, and the fact that they decided to add a certain stereoscopic 3D effect, makes Taken By A Vandal become somehow confusing but also unique and very interesting. All in all you could say, this graffiti documentary shows train-graffiti action as just a minority has seen it before… ...

Urbex Photography Special

Urbex Photography Special

Urban exploring becomes more and more popular for young people from the cities around the world, who want to discover hidden places, explore abandoned houses, and climb on the highest buildings in town. Documenting their achievements with often amazing photographs, the urban explorers built up distributed communities (and published urbex guides) in the web for the last years, for what reason even more boys and girls (including me) were influenced to join this movement and to push urbex photography. ...

Skateboard Fireworks Mayhem in Vancouver

Skateboard Fireworks Mayhem in Vancouver

That’s what I call a great skateboard event: In Vancouver, BC a few hundred people partied Halloween with an extraordinary skateboard fireworks jam in an abandoned skate-park tunnel! This event attracted that much attention throughout the entire galaxy that in addition to Harold Green, Vampires Dream, Banana, Lemmy, the She Wolfs, Manwolf, Ladyman, Scarecrow, Werewolf, Long Underwear Man, Clumsy Lumberjack and Dirty Hippy even Mr. Zaphod Beeblebrox himself came back to earth for a short skate-session! ...

On Saturday 4th of February my solo show opened at La Grille gallery in Yverdon Switzerland. It was a fantastic evening with lots of people coming by. (MadC) ...

Clemens Behr & Romain Froquet - Paris Installation

Clemens Behr & Romain Froquet - Paris Installation

Back in 2011, German urban artist Clemens Behr caught up with French painter Romain Froquet in Paris to create a phenomenal collaboration installation - and when I say phenomenal, I mean it! Bringing together Clemens’ abstract, somehow digital-looking three-dimensional installations and Romain’s complex styled, abstract paintings, both artists created different, sometimes floating artworks in an old fabric using nothing more than cardboard, wood, yarn and paint… It’s great to see how the two different techniques work out together - thumbs up guys! ...

Lego Graffiti

Lego Graffiti

Using Lego for stop motion productions is quite popular for some years now, for what reason I wasn’t surprised when I discovered this short Lego graffiti film. And although it’s not the best footage neither a really mind-blowing piece, I can’t imagine how long it took to put this together. Furthermore I loved the idea and hope that someone tries to make a better one after watching this video… As long as we are waiting for another Lego graffiti stop motion video, take a look at the graffiti street animation Tumblingerstraße! It’s not Lego, but worth to watch anyway. ...

What happens if it’s cold and freezing in mid-Europe? Right, all the creative heads escape and seek refuge in sunnier climes!
