Spanish urban artist Spidertag who is quite well-known in Europe for his yarn bombing artworks (he calls them spider tags) just spent the last days in abandoned buildings in Porto, Portugal and of course created some new stuff using nothing more than a few nails, a hammer and some yarn! It’s all about nails, yarn, geometry, abstraction and streets. (Spidertag) Spidertag got quite popular in Berlin, when he visited the city for several weeks back in 2011. Nevertheless I was totally flashed after watching the Storm Origins freerunning short film which was shot for a Channel 4 documentary called Concrete Circus! The film shows in action packed scenes the three frerunners Phil Doyle, Paul Joseph and Mathieu Ledoux running, jumping, flying and inline skating through an urban concrete landscape. Of course, the fire action is somehow exaggerated but the DIY SuperSoaker fake flamethrower seems to be good fun! ...
