It seems, that New York based street artist WK Interact does not sleep. After his “How to Blow Yourself Up” skateboard exhibition in Los Angeles at the end of the last year, he pasted and painted a new mural artwork in Manhattan some days ago! The new urban mural artwork is a tribute to the American professional basketball player Dwyane Wade, who has established himself as one of the most well-known and popular players in the NBA. While planning, pasting and painting the D-Wade artwork, WK Interact was filmed. What arose from that is a very nice video with some very nice impressions of the snowbound New York City! For this reason, I don’t realized that great light art spectacle: “Vectorial Elevation” was a light art project in Vancouver, which allowed people around the world to light up the sky over the former Olympic Games city with their own light shows. Do you remember the much talked “Women Are Heroes” exhibition by famous photographer and street artist JR, which held last year at Île Saint-Louis in Paris? Today I found the corresponding time lapse video, which shows in a stunning way the development of the giant pasted images of African women on the walls along the Seine River. “New Type York” is a photoblog curated by New York based graphic designer James Patrick Gibson, who will periodically post shots of typographic details from the street s of New York City: The premise is simple: A daily archive of images of typographic artifacts all around New York City. Next month, Italian stencil art crew Orticanoodles will have their first stencil art solo show in Paris, which is simply called “New Works”. The last days I reorganized my street art photo archive in every free minute I had. At this years beginning, I wrote about the spectacular graffiti project, called “700 Wall”, by famous graffiti artist MadC. Recently she published some new, grandiose sketches, which will be submittals for the eventual wall style. “The wall is extremely long, so I decided to do the concept like a pan in an animation with a lot of three-dimensionality to give the feeling of actually standing in the rooms.
