Photography documentation captures street art, graffiti, and urban art imagery, showcasing diverse styles, techniques, locations, and the raw creative energy of contemporary urban expressions.
Photography serves as the essential medium for documenting and preserving the ephemeral nature of street art, graffiti, and urban art across global cities. Beyond mere documentation, urban art photography has developed into its own artistic discipline, exploring creative angles, lighting techniques, and framing choices that enhance the impact of the original artworks.
Through exhibitions, publications, and digital platforms, photographers play a vital role in bringing street art to audiences who cannot experience these works firsthand, democratizing access to urban creativity while honoring the artists’ original intentions and contexts.
24h Berlin
“24h Berlin – A Day in the Life” is television’s longest program ever! Without actors and tricks, about 80 camera teams filmed a whole day in Germany’s capital Berlin a year ago. The film makes it possible to get impressions of the life in this modern metropolis.
Today it firstly comes to television, for exactly 1440 minutes, that’s 24 hours! You can watch “24h Berlin” in real time via life stream!

It’s phenomenally how much fantastic slow motion and time lapse video clips with wonderful urban impressions there are on the Internet!
Do you know the “London - harder, better, faster, stronger” clip by David Hubert? It’s an impressive time lapse short film, made of 3328 single shots from the London city in 2008. Mixed up with Daft Punk’s “Harder, better, faster, stronger” it mediates a great street feeling!

Color in Motion - Quintessenz Crew
I like it when people play around with colorful paint in old, abandoned factories and industrial areas. But it is even more interesting, when those people cook up a short story a make a little video out of their paint-action.
Color in Motion is a crazy series of stop motion video clips by Quintessenz Creation from Hannover, Germany. It’s flowing, dripping, dribbling - Take a look on how the paint makes its way!

I love this fresh slow motion video made by Vicente Sahuc with a Casio camera in New York, 2008!
The impressions, the cuttings, the details, the colors - Everything fits great together, it’s a feast for the eyes and additionally gives a fantastic feeling of the urban atmosphere in New York! I mostly like the cop, cruising past with his antique police car or the lady with the pantyhose…great!
