Several weeks ago I already posted about the nice new mural artworks by urban art superstar Roa in Mexico. Back then, I didn’t know that his works were well documented on film by Filmaciones de la Ciudad, what’s really good, because we have now the chance to watch him painting… The Belgian graffiti artist travels the world since a few months, for what reason you can find his works in Madrid, London, Paris, Berlin and other metropolises! I for one like Roa’s animal graffiti stuff, and it’s always impressing to see how some skilled artists are possible to paint those massive walls… ...

Urban Artcore Madrid

Madrid Street Art | As some of you already know, I used the announced posting break to travel to Madrid to have some relaxed days with friends and to have a look at what’s going on in the Spanish capital. Although the weather hasn’t been as good as desired we explored large parts of the city, especially around Tirso de Molina, Sol, Calle de Atocha and Chueca, visited the Museo Reina Sofia to have a close look at Picasso’s masterpiece “Guernica”, took the “Teleférico” (a cable car), visited the great “Tabacalera” art space and of course discovered a lot of great street artworks by Nuria, Sabek, La Pluma Eléctri*k, Blu, BR1, Roa, Rallito X and many more! ...

Murals: Roa in Mexico

Animal Walls | While we had a more or less hard winter in Europe, famous urban artist Roa flew over the sea and did some nice new mural stuff in Mexico! After having a look at the brand-new photos of his spray-painted animals on Ekosystem I have to say, that Roa’s style is and remains unique in my eyes… In addition to a lot of new walls showing those well-known graffiti animals, Roa also hooked up with Mexican urban artists Saner and Sego to create some wicked collaborations! ...

Roa is probably one of the current most famous graffiti artists in Europe. Roa Graffiti Prints - Out Now!

Last Thursday the new, twelves issue of the fantastic VNA magazine was released at the Pure Evil Gallery in London. In addition to having some too much beer and talking to some nice guys, I was able to take some closer looks at the first Roa prints… Roa has been on the top of our hit list for a while now, so it was a real blessing when he came through London and this dream cover could actually come about. Three days of shooting Roa painting was still not enough and we could have easily sat up on that roof watching him paint for quite a few more. (Team VNA, Issue 12) ...

Roa’s Graffiti Show: First Impressions!

As I told you one week ago, Belgian graffiti artists Roa started his exhibition in Paris! For those who could not be in Paris until February 28th, have been published some nice photos of Roa’s phantastic animal graffiti by my friend Vito! Each of the spray-painted artworks, which are popular worldwide, seems to be as detailed as possible. Roa come to his painting in different ways, either as abandoned places, town, or gallery, and develops more and more the effects of anamorphosis, also in a goal context.
