With a 15 meters high Space Invader game, urban installation artist Luke Egan aka Filthy Luker just invaded Manchester! Made of road work barriers and traffic cones the Space Invader game is fully interactive - the required software comes from Jnr Hacksaw - what makes it becoming something like a center of attraction in the city of Manchester… The project is a work in progress and under deconstruction, coming to some scaffolding near you soon! ...

Telephone Helicopter Applause Gunshot is the name of a sweet electronic track by Lorenz Rhode, who says his music sounds like Rick James dating Chaka Khan, dancing to Daft Punk and Technotronic, making sweet love to a Stevie Wonder ballad, when suddenly a group of German robots and a Yellow Magic Orchestra come rushing into the hotel suite and… they all decide to go to France instead. After that marvellous 15th issue of UK’s VNA magazine, some weeks ago the next one was released including a large feature of French tile/ pixel artist Invader! Recently the VNA crew published a nice teaser documenting their meet and greet with the famous street artist, showing a neat insight into the interview which can be found entirely in the 16th VNA issue. I already got my copy for what reason I can promise, that it’s worth it! ...

Unfortunately I didn’t found enough time to write in the last days - I rather enjoyed this year’s probably last sunny summer days - for what reason I again give a brief overview about what happened in the international urban art scene during the last couple of days… Saber did a fantastic typographic, aerial attack on downtown Los Angeles by writing into the sky! Ha, unbelievable! In Matt Groening’s Futurama (series six, episode four) Bender plays the charactere of the street artist Invader, who became famous around the world for his urban tile installations, showing monsters from the old skool Space Invader game. Update: The video is not longer available - Hope I will find a new version soon… The other news, our city’s filthy, urine soaked walls have been desecrated by an mysterious tile-work graffiti artist. Fabulous urban tile-artist Space Invader did another great job! Some days ago, he installed 21 of his internationally well-known tile-artworks in San Diego, but that’s not all. The more interesting aspect of the new street artworks is, that if you walk from artwork to artwork in the right direction, the way you walked will create a big space invader…It’s really amazing! Of course, this is not only an artwork, but additionally a nice promotion for the upcoming “Viva la Revolucion: A Dialogue with the Urban Landscape” exhibition, Space Invader will be part of. ...

Hi guys, I’m back from Scotland since yesterday!
