Tomorrow, the two Hamburg-based stencil artists Mittenimwald and Dash3Ultra will rock the Berlin city with their urban art exhibition at ATM Gallery! Yesterday, I visited Hamburg to fetch some new sneakers and to meet my friend Jörg from the Heliumcowboys Artspace. I spend the whole day walking through the streets, photographing nice street art… My personal feeling is, that Hamburg is the German capital of sticker art. There are googols of different stickers by famous urban artists like Flying Förtress, CUPK and The London Police as well as an uncountable number of other great stickers by local artists! ...

It’s like an interactive city art guide and started with a urban shoe rallye in Berlin one year ago. In October 2009 I informed you about the second edition, called “Gaffa-Urbanism”, of the urban magazine Spacemag by Hamburg based Spacedepartment. Now, the release date is fixed and I was able to cast an eye at the new edition! As you can read in the title, the whole issue is about the new “Gaffa-Urbanism” movement. For that reason, pacemag #2 includes articles about Japanese tape artist Shuetsu Sato, who tapes redirecting hints at the subway-stations in Tokyo and about Australian tape artist BUFFdiss, who is a real globetrotter and tapes great artworks in the urban landscape. ...

It’s the fourth time this week, that I wrote something about New York-based street artist KR - a new record! Last weekend, I informed you about his cooperation with auto-manufacturer Mini, today the first photos of this event were published! KR customized a Mini Cooper S in his very own style in Hamburg. Craig “KR” Costello is in Hamburg next week! In cooperation with auto-manufacturer Mini, he will paint a brand new car which will be presented in the “Ersteliebebar” and at Vicious Gallery. KR, who grew up in New York, founded his own company for paint, markers, and other graffiti equipment, named KRink, several years ago. He’s is famous for his abstract and colorful fire extinguisher drip-pieces, which can be found around the globe.
