There are a lot of more or less great books about street art, graffiti and urban interventions out there. This April, another promising looking street art book will be published: “Street Art New York”!

The 176 pages hardcover book, with its 200 color illustrations takes its readers on a trip through New York’s streets, showing impressions of latest artworks.

“Helping you navigate this crush of creativity and D.I.Y. art-making, the authors take you on a fast sprint through the streets, along the waterways, on the rooftops, and up the walls of todays ever-morphing Street Art scene, as only New York can tell it.

Featured in this unplugged and dynamic collection of images are works by some wildly exciting newcomers as well as some of the “old masters”, each one telling their New York story.” (press release)

“Street Art New York” was composed by two very interesting persons: Steven P. Harrington and Jaime Rojo. Harrington is editor and co-founder of brooklynstreetart.com, which tracks the new creative spirit that runs in the streets of Brooklyn. Rojo is a New York-based photographer who documented thousands of New York street art images since 2001…

All in all, the book seems to be up-to-date and interesting. If you want to cast an eye at it, you should visit the corresponding website and pre-order it!
