Emess & Czarnobyl Live - United Colours
The last weekend was marked by the “United Colours” street art festival, which takes place in Berlin for the first time. Two workshops, one on graffiti characters and one on stencil art, called on to participate and the concept seems to work…
The “United Colours” street art festival is a collaboration between the famous ATM Gallery and the RosengARTen in Berlin-Mitte and will run until the end of this week. They present a mixture of creative entertainment, do-it-yourself workshops with professional help by local urban artists and live-paintings.

Faile’s Temple Installation
One week ago, my friend the Portuguese street art blogger Target wrote an interesting article about an at that time upcoming street art installation by the famous urban art collective Faile. One whole week, the Faile-team and their helpers worked hard on their massive, big and unique installation and what came of it is a fantastic temple in the city of Lisbon, which is part of the art festival “PortugalArte10”! Today, Target uploaded impressing shots of the creation process…

Summer Street Art Berlin
What an amazing weather! The sun is everywhere, it is hot and I had some time to walk through Berlin-Kreuzberg for taking some photos of Berlin’s summer street art. Today I decided twelve of them to give you a nice insight into what happens on the streets in Germany’s capital.
There are, in addition to some great stencil spray paintings by Emess and C215, a lot of paper artworks by Alias, Mean Marek and the three Israeli street artists Foma, The Drip Up and Klone, who recently visited Berlin, and a new piece by famous graffiti artist Roa, who is in town at the moment. Furthermore some rather inspiring urban artworks by less known artists leaped to my camera’s focus…

Spanish Top Urban Artists
Although I kept my fingers crossed for the Netherlands yesterday, I had the idea to celebrate the Spanish football team as the new world champion by collecting a list of awesome graffiti and street artists from Spain. Because I’m not able to know every single urban artist by name and mother country, it’s o you to complete the list by adding comments or writing e-mails!
Famous Urban Artists from Spain Sam3 - The mural artist paints walls around the world, thereby the size of the wall doesn’t matter. Some weeks ago, he painted together with other well-known artists a facade in Lisbon. (www.sam3.es)

Stencil Art Pirates: Los Piratoz
In addition to the stencil art show by two Hamburg-based street artist tomorrow at ATM Gallery, I want to give you some impressions of that nice book about the famous Hamburger stencil art crew Los Piratoz, which is maybe the most active street art crew in the Hanseatic city.
As I could read in the book, which is entitled “Yes we Arrrrr!” and arrived at my home in the last week, they started round about 2002 to stick stencil sprayed stickers in the streets and decided a short while after to creatively work under the label Los Piratoz.

Space Invader’s City Walk
Fabulous urban tile-artist Space Invader did another great job! Some days ago, he installed 21 of his internationally well-known tile-artworks in San Diego, but that’s not all. The more interesting aspect of the new street artworks is, that if you walk from artwork to artwork in the right direction, the way you walked will create a big space invader…It’s really amazing!
Of course, this is not only an artwork, but additionally a nice promotion for the upcoming “Viva la Revolucion: A Dialogue with the Urban Landscape” exhibition, Space Invader will be part of.

New Wall-Painted Animation by Blu!
One of the most famous mural artists around the world, the Bologna-based urban artist Blu, recently published another new wall-painted animation…its name: “Big Bag Big Boom”!
As Blu describes, the video shows “an unscientific point of view on the beginning and evolution of life … and how it could probably end” and looks really amazing, but that’s nothing new after his fabulous collaboration with David Ellis at Fame Festival last year or his re-known animation “Muto”.

Street Art Cookbook
In addition to “The Urban Cookbook” by writer and author King Adz, which is a collection of creative recipes for the graffiti generation, there’s another cookbook out now - It’s name: Street Art Cookbook.

Tape Art: BUFFdiss in Action
In addition to the nice Wooster Collective meet-up and the Mode2 live-painting I was on the run with Australian tape artist BUFFdiss. Armed with some rolls crepe tape and wearing some darker clothes, he created two nice tape artworks on an old industrial area…and while he taped around, I took some dark action photos!
BUFFdiss started creating tape artworks several years ago and moved in that way on from the traditional graffiti and its spray-cans…it was really impressing how fast he made the artworks ready and at the same time we both were impressed with the reactions by some passing people, who were really wondering about what he did…

Boxi: How-to Stencil Art
Berlin-based stencil artist Boxi is in addition to Evol, Czarnobyl, Orticanoodles and C215 one of the most famous stencil artist in Europe and the entire world.
Yesterday, I found an amazing video which documents the alternation process of one of his most recent artworks, a “six layer hand-cut paper stencil and spray paint on photograph by Ross Morrison.” It looks quite gorgeous how he creates the reflections in the visual cover of the helmet - That really floored me!
