Blu & David Ellis at Fame Festival
“Combo - A Collaborative Animation” is a new and amazing motion painting animation done by famous street artists, painters and filmmakers Blu and David Ellis.
It’s one of their artworks for the urban art festival “Fame” in Grottaglie, Italy. Blu and David Ellis combine in this action the interesting location of an old, abandoned house, a lot paint and their inspiring creativity to a synthesis of the arts, which can only be viewed in this video. I love it!
D*Face Studio Visit
My friends from Arrested Motion visited the studio by British street artist D*Face some days ago and made an interesting interview with the man himself.
D*Face - Unamerican Graffiti
AM: Are you planning on subjecting the viewers of the exhibition to some kind of aversion therapy and bombard them with graphically violent images?
D*Face: Yes, the title obviously comes from “A Clockwork Orange,” and the scene where Alex has his eyes pinned open. It’s not meant to be taken literally from the title. The idea is that’s what happens anyways in our lives, whether you like it or not. Advertising is a very cruel and clever game that’s played and I’m fascinated with the things that are communicated to us and how they are communicated to us over our life cycle – daily, to yearly, to decades – and what parts of that you retain, and when and why.

555 Kubik - Urban Screen
The Basic idea of “555 Kubik - How it would be, if a house was dreaming” by Urban Screen was to dissolve and break through the strict architecture of O. M. Ungers “Gallery of Contemporary Art” in Hamburg.
Fortunately they filmed this phenomenal 3D projection!
“Large-scale projection on urban surfaces - this is our creative company’s field of activity. We conceive and produce custom-made media installations using high artistic standards, an architectural approach and a consistently professional completion; in doing so, creating uniquely outstandig impressions.” (Urbanscreen.com)

Zoe McCloskey’s Lorem Ipsum Art
What do you think about the “Lorem Ipsum” placeholder text? I love it, and today i read an article about Zoe McCloskey from Chicago, who used this fake-seeming Latin designers use to mock up designs for a street art project. (“Fake-seeming”, because it is not really a fake text, but ask Wikipedia for more!)
She pastes sentences like “Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consetetur sadipscing elitr.” on walls and billboards to stimulate people to think about the meaning of words. But read yourself, what Unurth has learned from her:

A1one - Street Art in Tehran
I think, everybody knows about the political problems in Iran - about the demonstrations, the violence, the vote rigging and so on… And I think, you can imagine how dangerous it is to comment these social and political issues over there. Then you also can imagine how extremely dangerous it is to make politically street art right there.
Indeed the Islamic Republic of Iran has no laws, which prohibit graffiti or street art, but this means nothing.

Stencil Art: C215 Interview
He is one of the greatest stencil artists of our time. Some time ago he made a double exhibition in Berlin’s Intoxicated Demons Gallery and ATM Gallery. If you have not heard of C215, you should better be careful, because we have spoken with the nice, world-travelling, French artist about his art and his motives!
uac: Who are you? Where are you from? And what means C215?
C215: I am a street art junkie, 35 years old, living in Paris. C215 is just my name, coming from a cell where I stayed a long time ago. It sounds like Chris, but with numbers. I love to hear it said in different languages.
