Martin Hawkes and his video team filmed famous German urban art duo Herakut while painting a pretty nice mural in Stavanger on the west coast of Norway! Origami Stencil by Banksy?
This is definitely the best stencil street artwork I’ve seen this year! Although it certainly looks like a new Banksy piece, unfortunately nobody is as safe as houses and knows if this great origami stencil artwork in London was made by the British street art legend or not. Nevertheless, it’s fucking lovely! If you know details, let me know…

Urban Crochet Art
Olek is an crochet artist. The New York-based Pole started to crochet things for friends not long ago, went on to crochet urban environment (one of the most popular one is the purple Wall Street Bull) and since then became that famous, museums are offering to buy her entire installations! And although some would describe her works as grandma-style, there’s a certain idea behind the very conceptual urban crochet artworks, as she pointed out in the accidental interview Global Street Art did with Olek a few days ago…

Xoooox - Germany’s most popular Street Artist
Germany’s most popular street artist Xoooox just got his first monograph by written by Benjamin Wolbergs and published by Gestalten! Xoooox, who became famous buy spray-painting models in unsuitable positions on the streets of Berlin and other metropolises, was the first German street artist to come to prominence on the international art market…
The work of Xoooox has always been a standout for me. The images of these sexy fashionable women stenciled around the streets of Berlin always stood in such high contrast to the collapsing buildings they were painted on. In a landscape covered with street art that always looks much the same it is very refreshing to see an artist with such a singular vision. (Aaron Rose)

Typography Murals in Sao Paulo
boa mistura - typography murals
Spanish urban art collective Boa Mistura (who did this crazy TV Kills Your Brain installation) just created some amazing perspective typography murals in Vila Brâsilandia, one of the favelas in Sao Paulo!
The five-headed crew repainted several vecos and vielas - those winding streets, being the true articulators of the internal life of the community - in bright colors, presenting words like beauty, pride, sweetness, firmness and love as anamorphic paintings, making the poor suburb a little more colorful…

Exit Through the Kwik-E-Mart The episode simply tells the story of Bart becoming a street artist by tagging the neighborhood from Homers car, getting in contact with the guys named above - And it also tells the story of the street art commercialization! Definitely a must to watch.

World’s Largest Painting: Bikini Lines
I just fell from my chair. Toronto-born, Tokyo-based entrepreneur, occasional artist and almost architect Christian Forestell (here a short interview) is right away starting the world’s largest painting project entitled Bikini Lines to benefit children orphaned in the 2011 Fukushima disaster!
Bikini Lines - The Cactus Dome Painting Bikini Lines is a proposed massive, mixed media project inspired by a lack of standardized nuclear disaster reporting, in particular the panic that set in over Tokyo following the March 2011 earthquake, tsunami and subsequent meltdown. Based on crowd-funding, the project’s main focus is on painting the huge Cactus Dome on the Marshall Islands, an enormous, foot-and-a-half-thick, 107m wide dome consisting of 358 gigantic concrete panels built over a nuclear crater, seriously!

Already some days old, but still fresh is the dope, quality interview the VNA team did with The London Police boys in Amsterdam for the 17th issue of London’s finest Very Nearly Almost magazine!
At first it was a very simple doodle. And I mean simple, it was essentially a stick man with a round head that I’d draw…(Chaz about the Lad)
Chaz and Bob are present in Europe’s street art scene for over a decade.
