Last Friday, I visited the launch party of the new and really recommendable urban art book by Tristan Manco called “Street Sketchbook: Journeys”, which is something like an extension of the original “Street Sketchbook” from 2007.

Street Sketchbook: Journeys continues the theme of an artist’s creativity by looking further at the idea process. Featuring in-depth interviews and illustrated with sketchbooks and behind the scenes photographs this book follows the artistic journeys of thirty extraordinary artists from around the world. (press release)

Featured urban artists in this book are for example Dran, who recently painted together with the Da Mental Vaporz crew at the Meeting of Styles 2010, Spanish street artist Sam3, Belgian urban artist Roa, Portuguese mural artist Vhils and a lot more!

Actually, this book is one of the most interesting street art books I’ve seen in the last months, because it includes not only well-known but highly creative and totally interesting artists. Of course, I took some photos of the launch party, which included an amazing exhibition of artworks by these featured artists…
