# The Urban Cookbook

Do you know “The Urban Cookbook” by writer, author and filmmaker King Adz? It brings together what not fits together at the first glance - street food, street art and street style!

**Creative recipes for the graffiti generation!**

In addition to 50 urban cookery recipes, the book also contains interviews with 25 street artists like **Wooster Collective** from New York, **E-Boy** from Berlin, **JR** and **Invader** from Paris, **Helmut Smits** from Amsterdam and **D*Face** from London.

Why he precisely brings together cooking and street art, King Adz explain as follows:

> “Urban cookery (street food) is the most accessible form of cooking there is. Just as street art has brought the beauty of art into the lives of the masses, street food is all about making diverse and tasty food available to all, using simple recipes that are quick and easy to follow. There is no mystery, no special secret. Just turn the pages, check out the talents, follow the recipes and soon you’ll have opened up a whole new world of food and culture.”

I recently found a nice video clip, showing King Adz in the cooking show “Market Kitchen”, where he enthuses about Berlin currywurst...
