# Uncommissioned Urban Art: Trespass

There are a lot of good and often interesting [street art and graffiti books](/book/) out there, but another one you should keep in mind until its release in October, because I highly recommend it, is “Trespass - A History Of Uncommissioned Urban Art”!

That book contains not only street art and graffiti but with interventions, artistic protest and propaganda art a more general urban art context, a bit like I do on this blog...At the moment, a lot of people around the world, including the Wooster Collective, [Martha Cooper](/focus-on-martha-cooper/) and [WK Interact](/wk-interact-new-york-mural-art/) drum up business for the book and that Banksy has written the introduction should also be not that bad...

> I was 16 years old when I first trespassed onto some railway tracks and wrote the initials of the graffiti crew (of which I was the only member) on a wall. Afterwards the most incredible thing happened - absolutely nothing. No dog chased me, no thunderbolt from God shut down to punish me, and my mum didn’t even notice I’d been gone. That was the night I realized you could get away with it. (Banksy)

More info and a review will follow when I’m back in Berlin, having the book, which will be available for example [via Amazon](http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/3836509644?ie=UTF8&tag=berlinstreeta-21&linkCode=as2&camp=1638&creative=6742&creativeASIN=3836509644), in my hands...

**Update:**
The book’s publisher Taschen allows it to take a look at [the first 100 pages](http://www.taschen.com/lookinside/05719/index.htm)...thanks!

**Update 2:**
I visited London’s Tate Modern yesterday and had a quick view into that great book, including really nice photos and interesting articles! It’s on my wish-list now...
