# Urban Art Recap, June 2012

Similar to the latest [Urban Art Link-Tips](/urban-gardens-murals-tape-art/), it’s been a long time since the last [Urban Art Recap](/urban-art-recap-september-2011/) was published in September 2011. Nonetheless, I’d like to give you a short summary about the five most popular street art, graffiti and urbanism things on Urban Art Core in June 2012...


- [Fin DAC’s Female Stencil Art Series](/findac-female-stencil-art/)
London-based stencil artist **Fin DAC** worked hard on his latest female stencil art series (see above), combining hand-cut single-layer stencils with freehand spitting. With that, Fin again gave some beauty to the world!

- [Street Lamp Light Switch](/street-lamp-light-switch/)
Definitely one of the best interventional ideas in June came from Berlin’s creative studio **Cheesecake Powerhouse**, who installed a street lamp light switch in the streets of Germany’s capital.

- [Mr. Brainwash Hype Machine in London](/mr-brainwash-hype-machine-in-london/)
It was also in June, when love-hated **Mr. Brainwash** started his hype machine in London by putting up works showing The Beatles and The Queen...

- [Urban Art EFX in Amsterdam](/urban-art-efx-in-amsterdam/)
June 21st, the international urban art exhibition *Urban Art EFX* opened its doors in Amsterdam! The festival is still running, so make sure to check it out when you’re in the Netherlands!

- [Urban Hacktivism: The Biggest Football Field in the World](Urban Hacktivism: The Biggest Football Field in the World)
And of course, there was a lot footie going on in Europe. In addition to the FIFA Euro 2012, French urban hacktivist **Florian Rivière** created "the biggest football field in the world" together with some volunteers!
