# Vagina-Inspired Interview: Boris Hoppek

*German Vagina Art* | German street artist **Boris Hoppek** recently did a nice interview with fecalface.com, in which he for example describes how to dodge being enlisted in the German Army or why sexually charged artwork make it easier to get chosen by smart and crazy women!

Boris Hoppek, who started his street art career as a graffiti artist, is now based in Barcelona and took for that reason part at the local [*“Art Brut”* graffiti festival](/art-brut-festival-barcelona/) in 2009. Today his creative work contains painting, photography, video, sculpture and installation art...

> Boris Hoppek, has been an acclaimed name in the Graffiti-world since the late eighties, more recently he has become an outstanding talent within the contemporary art scene. By thematizing sexuality, violence, racism and oppression in a very clean and accurate style, the artist isolates provocative themes for contemplation. For years I’m highly impressed by the simplicity and success of his so-called Bimbo-dolls, which are made by hand from a range of materials like cloth, corduroy, rubber and fake leather, and represent social issues of our time. [The interview](http://www.fecalface.com/SF/index.php/features-mainmenu-102/2754-boris-hoppek-interview) is worth reading especially for fans of provocative, sexual art!
