Zezão - Urban Art of São Paulo
Some days ago, I received an e-mail by Sabine Willig who seems to be a representative of the Choque Cultural Gallery in São Paulo, which is “a contemporary art gallery exhibiting pop, outsider art.” She informed me about an amazing exhibition which takes place in the three floors of the gallery… One of the most famous São Paulo based urban artists José Amaro Capela, who is also known as Zezão, is currently exhibiting at Choque Cultural! The name of the really beautiful looking art show is “Vari Ações Urbanas”, which means “Various Urban Actions” and presents collages of up to 1,85 x 1,90 m size as well as paintings on wood, paper, canvas and the rusty surfaces… ...
